Arzler Alm Trail

The Arzler Alm Trail sums up Innsbruck’s cycling lifestyle pretty much perfectly: take the J bus from the city centre up to the Hungerburg, cycle on to the Arzler Alm and stop for a coffee – on a good day, you’ll bump into half of Innsbruck up here. Or just pop on your knee pads and get ready to brake. The trail has been steadily improved over the years and is now the city’s classic route – a must for all trail enthusiasts. Depending on your pace and choice of line, the route is just as exciting for slightly advanced cyclists as it is for experienced riders. With a few built banked bends, jumps and plenty of flow, the line winds its way through the forest towards the valley before merging into the slightly easier – but by no means any less fun – Hungerburg or Stadtwald trail. Back in Innsbruck, you do what you usually do: enjoy an ice cream in the city or a glass of Aperöl in the sunshine.
