Blindsee Trail

The Blindsee Trail is a must for every mountain biker’s bucket list – rugged, technical and, in terms of scenery, in a league of its own. The spectacle begins right at the top of the Grubigstein: the mountain backdrop of the Zugspitz Arena right before your eyes, the blue lakes far below, and right in the middle of it all, a trail that really puts your biking skills to the test. After a few warm-up runs in the bike park, you head into what makes the Blindseetrail so special: stony sections, roots, tight bends, exposed sections – and in between, time and again, that view of the crystal-clear water you’re heading straight towards. The trail is technically demanding and shouldn’t be underestimated – anyone who feels comfortable on S2 to S3 levels will find a run here that’ll stay with them for a long time. At the bottom, you’re faced with a choice: head straight back to the lift via the connecting trails and the Lermooser Moos, or take a quick dip in the cool water.
