Description

In the idyllic Gschnitztal valley, you’ll search in vain – thank goodness – for hustle and bustle and large crowds. Instead, the St. Magdalena via ferrata awaits you there – a real gem. Thanks to its west-facing aspect, the route can be ideally timed for the more pleasant morning or evening hours, depending on the season. A special feature is the five different starting routes, each with varying levels of difficulty. They offer the perfect opportunity to realistically assess your own abilities, ease yourself into the challenges and set off on the actual via ferrata well prepared. Although there’s no summit cross at the end of the route, there is a picturesque chapel and, inside it – just as tempting – a rustic alpine inn. Here, over coffee and cake, you can take in the impressive backdrop of the Stubai Alps at your leisure.
